DANCE WORKSHOP AUDITION
•No prepared material required — students participate in a faculty-led dance workshop
•Workshop begins with improvisation warm-up and exploration of spontaneous composition and performance
•Series of codified dance technique sequences with opportunities for creating short dance compositions
•Dance workshop will have musical accompaniment
ATTIRE
•Wear appropriate dance attire (leotard and footless tights or leggings)
•No specific footwear required
FACULTY CONVERSATION
•At the conclusion of the workshop, speak with Dance faculty
•Be prepared to discuss why you want to pursue a BA in Dance at Rowan

AUDITION DAY FORMAT

•Dance applicants participate in a dance workshop with Dance faculty and staff
•Family members and guests attend an informational session
•Faculty conversation at the conclusion of the workshop
WHAT TO EXPECT
•No prepared material needed — all dancing is done in the workshop format
•Come dressed in dance attire and ready to move
VIRTUAL OPTION
•If unable to attend in person, submit a virtual audition
•Virtual audition reviewed by faculty as formal audition
