Scholarship Audition Requirements

These requirements are from the Fall 2026 entry cycle. Fall 2027 requirements are typically posted between August and October and usually change only slightly — confirm on the official source before submitting.

Optional audition for scholarship consideration only; it is not required for program admission.

Repertoire List

•Two repertoire selections from classical, etude, or contest-type repertoire

•Trumpet: major and minor scales plus any etude from Arban

•Tuba: 12 major scales plus any etude from Rochut or Bordogni

•Tuba prepared pieces may also include any All-State material

Admission Pathway

•No audition required for admission to the BA Music major (College of Liberal Arts)

•No application fee to apply to Rollins

•Hamilton Holt School applicants: audition is required for both admission and scholarship consideration

Transfer Pathway

Rollins Clear Path gives Florida state-college AA/AS transfers guaranteed admission to Rollins with a 3.2 GPA, waived general education requirements, and no limited-access majors. BA Music students can enter the major through the university application; College of Liberal Arts auditions are for scholarship consideration, while Hamilton Holt applicants still audition for department admission.

Audition Expectations

•In-person audition on campus at Keene Hall or Tiedtke Concert Hall

•Performance on your instrument plus a brief aural skill and sight-reading exam
