•Bullet: Builds skills across songwriting, arranging, digital composition, recording, synthesis, mixing and publishing
•Bullet: Grounds studio work in popular-music theory, history and cultural context
•Bullet: Housed in the Department of Media Arts under chairperson Shawn Kildea, PhD, the interdisciplinary degree draws on courses in radio, podcasting and music publishing across the university
Professional Development
•Bullet: Students create and release work individually and with other musicians, culminating in a self-directed capstone project or professional internship
•Bullet: Recent internship sites include Atlantic Records, VH1 Save the Music, radio stations and recording studios
•Bullet: Optional experiences include a Los Angeles semester and a Nashville spring-break program
