Training
•The 78-credit BFA major requires 32 technique credits: 14 in contemporary/modern dance, 14 in classical ballet, and 4 in jazz
•Nine composition credits progress through improvisation, composition, and two levels of choreographic studies
•Students complete two semesters at the 400 level in either ballet or contemporary dance plus advanced study in the other form
Performance & Productions
•Seven required performance credits include four Production Participation credits and three Performance Practicum credits
•Faculty and national guest-artist mainstage concerts provide staged work every semester
Degree Flexibility
•Ten dance electives can emphasize classical technique or contemporary technique and choreography
•Forty-four open credits remain for additional courses, majors, minors, and REAL Curriculum requirements
