Repertoire List
•Brass repertoire may be prepared on trumpet, trombone, tuba/euphonium, or French horn
Repertoire
•Generally prepare three contrasting pieces or movements from standard Classical repertoire (a mix of etudes and solos varies by instrument)
•Tuba/euphonium repertoire: prepare an etude and two contrasting pieces or movements at a minimum RCM Grade 8 level
Etudes
•One or two contrasting etudes (count varies by instrument) demonstrating your highest level of technical achievement
Scales & Technique
•Trumpet: A major and A minor (harmonic, melodic, and natural) scales and arpeggios, two octaves
•Trombone, French horn, tuba/euphonium: major and natural minor scales to three flats and three sharps, minimum one octave
Accompaniment
•All accompanied works should be performed with accompaniment for both live and recorded auditions
•A staff accompanist can be arranged through the DAN School
