Audition Process
•Audition on a primary instrument or voice using that area's repertoire requirements
•Major scales, sight-reading, and an aural perception assessment
•Audition determines full acceptance into the School of Music
Teaching Interview
•Interview with music education faculty about teaching interest and disposition
•Audition and interview also serve as scholarship consideration
Audition Expectations
•In-person audition on a scheduled date; recorded video accepted if in-person is not possible
•Submit the online audition request form, then contact the School of Music at 260-481-6714
Decisions
•Students indicating music as their major are placed in "Pre-Music" upon university acceptance
•Full acceptance as a music major requires a successful audition
