PROGRAM RECOGNITION
•One of five BFA acting programs in the nation that meets the standards of the Consortium of Conservatory Theatre Training Programs
TRAINING
•Four-year sequential conservatory program that tests the depths of your instrument—your body, voice, and personality—to reveal your essence as an artist
•Your cohort is your "company," sharing the intensity of the rigorous training
•First two years focus on development of the actor's imagination and exploration of inner resources
•Third and fourth years apply principles learned in classroom work rigorously in rehearsal and performance
•27 to 40 hours per week of direct faculty contact with comparable preparation time
•Does not offer training in musical theatre
PERFORMANCE & PRODUCTIONS
•Purchase Repertory Theatre productions provide wide range of experience, from contemporary to classic, directed by visiting professionals and experienced resident faculty
•Senior acting students perform showcase of theatrical scenes for industry professionals in NYC and collaborate with Film BFA students for performance reel
•In fourth year, graduating seniors are presented to invited audience of agents, producers, and casting directors in New York City and Los Angeles
