•Providence College admission is required before declaring a Music Department major
•Students admitted to Providence may pursue the major without a department audition
Scholarship Audition
•The Class of 2030 audition registration is closed
•Auditioning is required only for Gail Himrod, O.P. Music Scholarship consideration
Repertoire Options
•Winds, strings, brass, or percussion: two contrasting pieces or movements, one with piano accompaniment, plus sight-reading
•Piano, harpsichord, or organ: two works selected from Baroque, Classical sonata, and 19th- or 20th-century repertoire
•Voice: two memorized songs; different languages are preferred but not required
•Guitar or electric bass: scales and chords, two contrasting pieces, and sight-reading
