Conditional Prescreen Requirements

Prescreen videos are required for all applicants except those auditioning live in Bradenton, FL (September 11—12, 2026 only): Bradenton applicants apply through the separate Bradenton application on Acceptd by September 7 and go straight to a live audition with no prescreen.

Monologues

Requirements

Two Contrasting Monologues

Memorized, 60-90 seconds each

One contemporary (post-1950) from published play or professional writer

One classical (pre-1950) with heightened language (for example: Shakespeare, Molière, Marlowe, Middleton, Kyd, Aristophanes, August Wilson, Tony Kushner, Suzan-Lori Parks, Mike Bartlett, Andrea Gibson, etc. Non-Western traditions translated to English are welcomed)

Application Logistics

Submit academic application FIRST (Common App or Point Park direct)

Submit prescreen materials via Acceptd

Eligibility

Must be both academically and artistically admitted

Students may audition once per year, maximum two auditions total

Transfer students admitted as freshmen (receive elective credit for previous training)

Must begin in fall semester

Important Notes

Fee waiver available for College Board/NACAC fee waiver recipients, Pell Grant eligible, or financial hardship (apply through Acceptd)

Bradenton option: separate Acceptd application for a live audition in Bradenton, FL on September 11 or 12, 2026 only—no prescreen videos required; apply by September 7

If you cannot attend a Bradenton date, use the main application (opens September 1) and submit the standard prescreen videos

Scholarship Info

Scholarships

Artistic Achievement Award: $5,000-$30,000 per year for students who demonstrate a high caliber of artistic ability through the artistic review process and maintain a 3.0 GPA plus full-time COPA status

Dean's Academic Award: $3,000-$8,000 per year based on GPA; candidates are considered through the artistic audition and must maintain a 3.0 GPA plus full-time COPA status

Visit Scholarship: $1,000 for freshmen who complete an official campus visit or attend an Admissions Open House

Candidates are notified of the award in the artistic decision letter
