Repertoire List
•Bullet: Voice — two solos of contrasting styles, one in a foreign language and one in English, one from the Classical canon (art songs ideal); 5 minutes or less total; all music memorized
•Bullet: Piano — two solos or movements from two different stylistic periods (ten minutes or less): one from the standard piano repertoire dating from 1900 or before, one contemporary (1900-present; jazz or popular styles accepted)
•Bullet: Woodwinds — two solos or movements in contrasting styles (ten minutes or less)
•Bullet: Brass — two solos or movements in contrasting styles (ten minutes or less)
•Bullet: Guitar (Classical) — a prepared etude (Sor, Carcassi, Brouwer, Villa-Lobos, Tárrega, Giuliani, etc.) plus two prepared contrasting pieces from standard classical guitar repertoire
•Bullet: Guitar (Jazz) — two jazz standards (with backing track, or as a chord-melody/solo arrangement), plus accompanying and improvising a 12-bar blues in B-flat
•Bullet: Percussion — prepared solos in two of three areas (timpani, mallets, snare drum/set), plus rudiments
Scales & Technique
•Bullet: Piano — two scales of the applicant's choice, one major and one harmonic minor, one octave ascending and descending
•Bullet: Woodwinds/Brass — major scales up to four sharps and flats, two octaves ascending and descending, plus the chromatic scale
•Bullet: Guitar (Classical/Jazz) — two-octave major and minor scales with diatonic arpeggios
