Audition Process
•Bullet: An entrance audition for the music faculty is required to be admitted to a music major
•Bullet: The audition is completed during Scholarship Auditions or as a Fall Jury after the first semester of private instruction
•Bullet: The scholarship audition can serve as the entrance audition for declaring a music major
•Bullet: Auditionees are ranked by accomplishment, talent, potential, and need within each discipline
•Bullet: Auditions evaluated by PLU Music Faculty
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: In-person auditions on campus February 19-21, 2027
•Bullet: Virtual auditions accepted via video submission through the Artistic Achievement Awards application
•Bullet: Prepare 5 minutes of music demonstrating both musicality and technique
Music Therapy Declaration
•Bullet: To declare the music therapy major, students interview and audition at the end of the first year
•Bullet: Music therapy students must demonstrate proficiency in keyboard, voice, guitar, and percussion by the end of junior year
