Scholarship Audition Repertoire (Optional)
•Audition on a principal applied area (voice, keyboard, strings, woodwind, brass, or percussion) using that area's published scholarship-audition requirements
-Voice: two memorized songs or arias in contrasting styles and tempi; a second language is required only of performance majors
-Keyboard: two works from different periods, with at least one memorized for pianists; prepare a major scale and possible sight-reading
-Strings: two contrasting etudes or solos, major or minor scales up to three sharps and flats, and possible sight-reading
-Woodwinds and brass: solo or etude excerpts, major scales up to three sharps and flats, a full-range chromatic scale, and possible sight-reading
-Percussion: prepared work in at least two of snare drum, keyboard percussion, and timpani, with possible sight-reading
