Repertoire
•Audition on your principal applied area (voice, keyboard, strings, woodwind, brass, or percussion) using that area’s scholarship-audition requirements
-Voice: two songs/arias in contrasting styles and tempi, memorized; one in a second language is required of performance majors
-Keyboard: two works from two different periods (pianists play one from memory), at least one major scale, possible sight-reading
-Strings: two contrasting etudes or solos, any major or minor scale up to three sharps and flats, possible sight-reading
-Woodwinds and brass: short excerpts from a solo or etude, several major scales up to three sharps and flats, a full-range chromatic scale, possible sight-reading
-Percussion: prepared selections in at least two of snare, keyboard percussion, and timpani, plus possible sight-reading
