Audition Requirements

These requirements are from the Fall 2026 entry cycle. Fall 2027 requirements are typically posted between August and October and usually change only slightly — confirm on the official source before submitting.

Dance

Solo Performance

Prepare a solo of up to 2 minutes

Choreography in any dance genre, or a musical theatre/pop song

Bring your music on your phone (adaptors provided); if singing, bring a backing track as no pianist is available

Class Work

Ballet class including a short flexibility/stretching session (barre, port de bras, centre, adage, pirouettes, allegro, pointe work)

Jazz class (warm-up, centre practice, across the floor, short jazz sequence)

Admission Pathway

Delivered with Northern Ballet School in Manchester

Awards the Level 6 Trinity College London Diploma in Professional Dance, plus the NBS Diploma in Professional Dance

Equivalent to a BA with a route onto MA programmes and degree top-up

Classical Ballet/Contemporary Focus chosen in Years 2-3

Course fee is 15000 GBP per year for UK students and 18950 GBP per year for non-UK students
