Audition Requirements

Monologues

Two Contrasting Monologues

•One contemporary monologue from a published play written post-2000

•One contrasting monologue of your choice from any era, genre, or source

•Around 2 minutes each, ideally a character close to your own age

•Must NOT be sections of film or TV scripts

•Choose character-driven, text-based pieces; avoid absurdist/surrealist or non-human characters

•Apply via UCAS under BIMM University (UCAS code W700, Institution code B39)

Entry Requirements

•80 UCAS points (3 A-Levels or equivalent)

•3 GCSEs at C/4 or above, including English Language

•IELTS 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each band) for international students

•Contextual offers available for eligible applicants

•No audition fee or deposit required to secure your place

•Student Finance England loans cover the full tuition fee for eligible UK students

What's The Process

Audition Process

•Live audition held on campus November to March

•Online self-tape audition available for those unable to attend in person

•Student ambassador Q&A and an individual interview with the audition panel

•Outcome notified within two weeks; conditional or unconditional offer confirmed via UCAS Track

Audition Expectations

•Improvisation workshop (no preparation needed)

•Screen Acting session using industry-standard filming equipment

•Movement for Actors session

•Monologue workshop: perform your prepared monologue(s) to a panel; you may be directed

Scholarship Info

•Student Finance England loans available to cover full tuition fee

•Fair Access Fund bursaries for underrepresented students

•Travel bursary of up to 50 GBP for open day and audition attendance
