Dance
LIVE AUDITION — THREE COMPONENTS
•Ballet group class with faculty
•Modern dance group class with faculty
•Two-minute solo composition in dance style of your choice (with or without music)
ATTIRE
•Appropriate dancewear for ballet and modern classes
Additional Materials
PROSPECTIVE DANCE MAJOR FORM (required)
•Complete the form available on the dance department page
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION (required)
•From a dance teacher or dance professional
ESSAY (required)
•Personal statement describing your interest in dance

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
•Requires a minor or secondary major alongside dance concentration

What's The Process
AUDITION FORMAT
•Live audition and interview with dance faculty on campus
•Three parts: ballet class, modern class, and solo performance
•Video submissions accepted for provisional consideration only — live audition required upon arrival
TIMELINE
•Complete all materials at least 6 weeks before first term
•Register via Acceptd to schedule audition
Scholarship Info
ELIGIBILITY
•Priority scholarship consideration for auditions completed before March 20
•Dance audition doubles as scholarship consideration — no separate application
REQUIREMENTS
•Scholarship recipients must maintain 3.0 GPA in all dance courses
•Scholarship recipients must audition for Dance Ensemble every semester and participate fully if selected
