•Bullet: Bachelor of Music Education (BME) with teaching licensure — a four-and-a-half to five-year, 95-111 credit NASM-accredited program combining music performance, theory and history, conducting, piano proficiency, instrumental techniques, and PreK-12 teaching methods
•Bullet: Culminates in a full-time student-teaching semester supervised by university faculty and a mentor teacher, plus the required edTPA assessment leading to an Oregon Preliminary Teaching License
•Bullet: The Music Education Project gives students hands-on teaching experience years before official student teaching — leading group classes (orchestra, band, choir) and private lessons for local youth ages 6-18, earning both college credit and pay
