•Bullet: Bachelor of Arts (BA) Pre-Licensure in Music Education — a four-year, 67-credit major-requirements program (plus the 34-42 credit BA Music core) built around three competencies: music (theory, ear training, piano proficiency, music history), teaching (elementary/secondary methods, technique courses, conducting), and performance (weekly private lessons plus large-ensemble participation)
•Bullet: This BA does not include teaching licensure; graduates pursue licensure afterward through Oregon's Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC)-accredited programs (one additional year) or Pacific's Master of Arts in Teaching
•Bullet: Students can gain early teaching experience through the Music Education Project, leading group classes and private lessons for local youth ages 6-18
