TWO MEMORIZED CONTRASTING PIECES

•Classical: one piece composed before 1900, one selection in a foreign language encouraged

•Contemporary/Musical Theatre: one piece composed before 1970, foreign languages welcome but not required

•Pieces should showcase vocal range and musicality

•Choose repertoire in styles that best reflect your interests and capabilities

Additional Materials

Sheet music (required for in-person)

•Upload sheet music for all pieces you will perform

Letters of recommendation (required)

•One letter of recommendation

Audition Process

•Admission is through the university application (Common App)

•No audition required for program admission

•Optional music talent scholarship audition

•In-person auditions consist of prepared material only

•Online auditions accepted via MP3 file or YouTube link

•Complete the online Qualtrics scholarship application

•Auditions beyond March 1 may be arranged by contacting talentauditions@pacificu.edu

Scholarship Info

Music Talent Scholarship

•$2,000 to $7,000 per year, renewable for four years

•Open to all students regardless of major (except dental hygiene)

•Must perform in one major ensemble per semester

•Must take lessons on primary instrument/voice each semester
