The due date for the Pace academic application for potential performing arts majors is December 1. The prescreen is due January 4. Make sure you get the academic application in on time, otherwise you won't be able to audition.

Pace MT is known to have one of the more difficult dance calls of the season! Get ready!

Prescreen Requirements

Songs

Requirements

Two contrasting songs, each 60-90 seconds

One should be a ballad and one should be an up-tempo

Songs can be from any time period and any style

At least one should be from the musical theater canon

When selecting contrasting songs, show two different vocal qualities, textures, or skills

Must sing to live or recorded accompaniment (no a cappella)

Monologues

Requirements

One contemporary monologue written after 1950

From a published full-length play

Under 90 seconds

Cannot be from a musical, television show, or movie

Dance

Dance Submission

Submit one dance solo

Pace provides choreography on Acceptd and encourages applicants to use it

Applicants may instead use their own choreography if it includes at least one rotation, elevation, and extension

Choreography may be adapted for physical abilities or skill level

Film all dance media in a full-body shot, keeping the student's entire body in frame at all times

Application Logistics

File the Pace Application for Admission before uploading prescreen or portfolio materials to Acceptd

Pace may still be processing the academic file when the Acceptd upload begins

Use the Pace Application ID from the confirmation email, not the Common App ID

Submit materials through Acceptd for each major of interest

Only one submission per program is allowed
