•Dance Videos

•1 solo dance video under two minutes

•Can be in a studio or as a featured dancer

•Choreographed by yourself, a teacher, or friend

•2 recordings performing the ballet and jazz instructional videos found on Acceptd

•You can use the music that accompanies the videos or choose your own music

Wildcard / Special Skill (Optional)

•Optional "wild card" - be your creative and interesting self!

Additional Materials

•HEADSHOT or dance photo

•RESUME (preferably as a PDF)

•2 FULL BODY PHOTOS

•One in first arabesque en l'air

•One pose of your choosing

Application Logistics

•Must submit Pace Application for Admission by December 1 before uploading audition materials

•Pace Application ID required for Acceptd profile (found in confirmation email, NOT Common App ID)

•Submit Commercial Dance prescreen materials through Acceptd

•Only one submission per program allowed - no resubmissions

•Applicants are encouraged to submit the prescreen early

•All Sands College majors are eligible for Early Decision (binding)

•ED applicants must complete FAFSA by October 15

•ED applicants must complete in-person audition or interview by December 1

What's The Process

Prescreen

•Faculty review uploaded dance materials and issue callback decisions on a rolling basis

•Notification via Acceptd within two weeks of submission

Live Audition

•Candidates are evaluated in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop in small groups

•Some students may be asked to stay for a final interview

•Students select first and second choice callback dates on Acceptd

Merit Scholarships

•Merit-based scholarships up to $33,000 annually

•Artistic scholarships awarded through audition or portfolio review

HOLISTIC REVIEW (Fall 2026+)

•Institutional scholarships determined through holistic review process

•Considers artistic talent, academic achievement, and financial need

•Distinct from scholarship process used for other Pace academic programs
