Audition Process
•On-campus audition or online video submission via the student application portal
•Students who submit video auditions may be asked to audition in person
•Register at obu.edu/audition to schedule an on-campus audition time
•Practice rooms available for rehearsal prior to the audition
•Check in at the School of Performing Arts office (Mabee 107)
Audition Expectations
•Prepared instrumental audition on your principal instrument for admission to the Bachelor of Music in Performance, Instrumental emphasis
•On-campus audition or online video submission; video applicants may be asked to complete an on-campus audition with an applied instructor
•Solo literature may be performed with or without an accompanist; an accompanist is not provided
•You will sight-read a composition selected by the faculty, suitable for your level
•Allow 15-30 minutes on campus to warm up before your audition time
