Audition Process
•Bullet: On-campus audition or online video submission via the student application portal
•Bullet: Students who submit video auditions may be asked to audition in person
•Bullet: Register at obu.edu/audition to schedule an on-campus audition time
•Bullet: Practice rooms available for rehearsal prior to the audition
•Bullet: Check in at the School of Performing Arts office (Mabee 107)
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: Prepared instrumental audition on your principal instrument for admission to the Bachelor of Music in Performance, Instrumental emphasis
•Bullet: On-campus audition or online video submission; video applicants may be asked to complete an on-campus audition with an applied instructor
•Bullet: Solo literature may be performed with or without an accompanist; an accompanist is not provided
•Bullet: You will sight-read a composition selected by the faculty, suitable for your level
•Bullet: Allow 15-30 minutes on campus to warm up before your audition time
