Training
•The Dance History minor is open to OU undergraduates outside the dance major, making it an academic complement for music, theatre, history, or arts administration students.
•Coursework draws on the School of Dance history sequence, including Dance History: Early Roots, Dance History: Three Centuries of Development, and History of World Dance.
•The catalog requires a minimum 2.50 GPA in minor coursework, and minor courses may not be taken Pass/No Pass.
Performance & Productions
•Students study inside a School of Dance whose resident companies, Oklahoma Festival Ballet and Contemporary Dance Oklahoma, provide historical and repertory context through campus and regional performances.
