Audition Requirements
Songs
TWO CONTRASTING SONGS
•One song in a language different than English is encouraged but not required
•Second selection may be in a different style, such as musical theater
•Must sing to musical accompaniment — no backing tracks
•Collaborative pianist provided, or you may bring your own accompanist
•Bring sheet music for the collaborative pianist
SIGHT-SINGING
•Simple melody sight-singing exercise
•May use solfege, numbers, or system of your choice

•Apply and be accepted to Oregon State University first
•Submit music admissions and scholarship application via Acceptd
•Schedule a live audition date
FALLBACK PATH
•Students not admitted to BM may join the BA/BS in Music and re-audition the following year
•Students may retake the audition one time to convert from BA/BS to BM

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS
•Performance-based scholarships available to all interested students
•Funds primarily awarded to music majors and minors
•Awards may be one-year or multi-year agreements
•Requirements include studio lessons, ensemble participation, declaring a music major/minor, maintaining GPA, and full-time enrollment
