Audition Process
•No audition required for program admission
•Interview and teaching demonstration are for scholarship consideration only
•Apply to OBU first; financial aid cannot be offered until accepted to the university
•Submit the Theatre Scholarship Application
•Interview dates correspond to Bison Days on campus
•If campus visit is not possible, a video option is available
Audition Expectations
•Prepare a brief teaching demonstration on a theatre subject of your choice (2-3 minutes max)
•Followed by a review of previous work and Q&A about teaching ambitions
Video Option
•Record a 2-3 minute statement about what inspired you to teach, why teaching theatre matters to you, and your ultimate ambition as a teacher
•Must be a single take, without edits
•Begin with a standard slate: greeting, name, grade level, current school, and hometown
•Upload to YouTube (unlisted) and send link to john.dement@okbu.edu
