Optional audition and interview for scholarship consideration only; they are not required for program admission.

Monologues

Two Contrasting Monologues

Combined time limit: 3 minutes

Should display the breadth of your talent

Video Option

Record two contrasting monologues in a single take, no edits

Begin with a standard slate: greeting, name, grade level, current school, and hometown

Conclude by saying "thank you" and restating your name

Wardrobe, background, visual/sound quality, verbal preparation, and onscreen presence will be evaluated

Apply to OBU first; financial aid cannot be offered until accepted to the university

Submit the Theatre Scholarship Application

Interview dates correspond to Bison Days on campus

If campus visit is not possible, a video audition option is available

Audition Expectations

Performance applicants: two contrasting monologues + interview reviewing previous work and career goals

Technical theatre applicants: portfolio presentation + interview about career goals

Theatre education applicants: brief teaching demonstration (2-3 minutes) + interview about teaching ambitions
