Training
•Bullet: Emphasis tracks: costume design, scene design, lighting design, props design, sound design, stage and production management, and technical direction
•Bullet: Double-emphasis options are available for some students
•Bullet: Students receive their first production assignment in the fall semester of freshman year
•Bullet: Production shops and stages extend classroom work across plays, musicals, opera, dance, corporate events, and children’s theatre
Performance & Productions
•Bullet: Costume students may receive up to two production assignments each semester
•Bullet: The costume area designs and produces four to six musicals, operas, and plays per semester
Professional Development
•Bullet: Five local professional performing-arts partnerships create opportunities in performance, design, production, and management
•Bullet: Oklahoma City Ballet placements include lighting and management work supporting productions at Civic Center Music Hall
•Bullet: Music Theatre Wichita gives students early access to summer-position interviews, with selected design students designing Academy productions
