•Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) pathway in Theatre Arts
•ADT guarantees admission somewhere in the CSU system with junior standing and priority consideration for similar CSU programs; it does not guarantee a specific campus or major
Training
•Theatre Arts major requires 19-22 semester units under the 2026-2027 curriculum guide
•Foundation in theatrical performance, design/technology, and management for students pursuing transfer or entertainment-industry careers
•Required core includes theatre appreciation, acting, acting lab, and Student Repertory Theatre or stagecraft lab options
•Department produces musicals, contemporary and classical plays, dance shows, and a New Works festival of world-premiere plays
•Faculty and staff have professional field experience, according to the Theatre & Dance department
Facilities
•Gary Soren Smith Center for Fine and Performing Arts with the G. Craig Jackson main stage theatre, NUMMI Studio Theatre, dance studio, and outdoor Amphitheatre
Degree Flexibility
•Cal-GETC general education is required for the ADT
•Transfer planning should be reviewed with an Ohlone counselor and current CSU similarity/transfer tools
