•Dynamic dance training fostering curiosity, imagination, versatility, and innovation
•Coursework in hip hop, jazz, modern dance, ballet, Pilates, anatomy/kinesiology, improvisation, composition, and dance history

•Resident guest artists visit at least twice per year for networking and professional development
•Recent guests include Jennifer Archibald, Tiffanie Carson, Janessa Clark, Mike Esperanza, and Cameron McKinney
Performance & Productions
•University Dance Theatre presents two fully mounted concerts per year featuring student, faculty, and guest artist choreography
•ODU Dance Association — student-led organization presenting workshops, master classes, and Student Choreography Showcases
•Multiple opportunities to perform and choreograph in various venues throughout academic career
Facilities
•Four dance studios and a fully equipped Pilates studio with six reformers
•Proximity to Richmond, VA and Washington, DC provides access to professional performances and visiting artists
•Notable alumni at Disney, Virginia Opera, Chicago Dance Crash, and Virginia Ballet Theater
