•Apply via the Oakwood University application portal
•Rolling admissions with a $25 university application fee
•ACT or SAT results are required unless an official transfer-student waiver applies
Program Requirements
•Entering music students take written and aural music theory, piano proficiency, and applied-area placement exams
•All music majors must pass piano proficiency by the end of sophomore year
•Pre-college piano and instrumental study are strongly recommended
•Music majors participate in a departmental ensemble for eight consecutive semesters
•Pedagogy of Music students complete K-12 music teacher-preparation coursework, field experience, and student teaching
