TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
•Integrated into the acting training with additional coursework in music theory, singing, dance, and musical theatre history

Prescreen Requirements
Songs
•MTCP Song Option B:
-One musical theater song from any time period
-One contrasting song of your choice (any style)
-60-90 seconds each
Monologues
•MTCP Monologue Option B:
-One contemporary monologue (written after 1950)
-One classical monologue (written before 1950, heightened language)
-60-90 seconds each
Dance
•MTCP Dance Option A:
-Dance/movement video required
-Must include at least one turn, one jump, and one kick
-Or suitable rotation, elevation, and extension
-60-90 seconds
Ballet
•MTCP Ballet Option B:
-Ballet video optional
Wildcard / Special Skill (Optional)
OPTIONAL WILD CARD VIDEO, 60-90 sec
•Show your personality or share something about you
•Can be ANYTHING: a special skill, interesting story, passion speech, instrument you play, etc.
•Ideas: original composition, SNL-styled skit, hobby video, performing in another language, playing an instrument, a how-to video
Submission Specifications
FRAMING
•Songs and monologues: waist-up frame
•Dance and ballet: full body from head to floor
•Slate: waist-up, eye level
RECORDING
•Use standard technology (smartphone, tablet, etc.)
•Solid-colored wall ideal, any non-distracting background acceptable
•Keep lighting source behind or to the side of recording device
•Film in landscape (horizontally)
•Camera at eye level — use tripod or stack of books
•Each piece filmed as a separate video — no continuous recordings
LABELING
•Format: Title of Piece – Show/Playwright – Your First & Last Name
•Slate video: no longer than 10 seconds

•State your name (and pronouns if desired)
•Speak loudly and clearly directly at camera

ENROLLMENT
•Rolling admissions with March 7 priority deadline
•Students may audition for more than one division, but course of study limited to one

•Selected students invited to in-person callback audition
LIVE AUDITION
•Callback auditions held on campus in Miami
•May present the same material as prescreen or new material fulfilling the same requirements
