Training
•Bullet: Students develop costume design and construction skills for theatre, film and television, dance, opera, and other performance areas
•Bullet: Training includes corsetry, pattern cutting, draping, tailoring, millinery, costume props, fabric knowledge, textile breaking down, print, dye, and emerging technologies
•Bullet: Costume students collaborate with the wider Design for Performance area and tailor optional modules to their goals
Professional Development
•Bullet: Students can complete work experience up to a year in length and may gain additional professional-practice recognition
•Bullet: NTU highlights visits to venues such as the V&A and the National Theatre costume department, plus trips to opera, ballet, theatre, and dance performances
