Audition Process

The audition/interview process NSU publishes is for NSU Theatre Company participation scholarship consideration

Schedule an audition and interview with the NSU Theatre Company Artistic Director

In-person auditions/interviews are available; video submissions are accepted instead of attending in person

Audition Expectations

Prepare two 60-second contrasting monologues selected from two styles:

Comedic Classical (Shakespeare or Greek)

Dramatic Classical (Shakespeare or Greek)

Comedic Contemporary

Dramatic Contemporary

If you sing, perform two contrasting 60-second songs from any two genres of music

If you dance, prepare a 60-second routine for each genre you are skilled in

Nsu Theatre Company Participation Scholarships

Financial awards for qualified students participating in NSU Theatre Company from any major

Can cover tuition, room & board, and books

Open to incoming freshmen, transfer students, and current students

Evaluation Criteria

Academic Performance — minimum 3.0 semester and cumulative GPA, 12+ credit hours per semester

Time & Effort — investment in company activities

Talent & Skill — artistic and technical ability or growth

Professionalism — adherence to University conduct rules
