Training
•18-credit dance minor with 9 credits required at the 3000/4000 level
•Can be combined with any major and minor except a Dance major
•Studio and creative courses span ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, improvisation, dance for the camera, choreography, and global/historical dance
Performance & Productions
•NSU Dance Ensemble offers dancers and emerging choreographers chances to perform and choreograph as part of the performing arts season
•Ensemble members work with professional faculty and guest choreographers for pre-professional experience
•Dance Ensemble auditions take place at the start of the fall semester and are open to all NSU students
Professional Development
•Dance students can submit choreography for the Fall Dance Works show or the Student Choreography Showcase
•Dance Awareness Day offers free classes with NSU Dance faculty, guest artists, and selected NSU dance majors
