Application Logistics

Admission is through Notre Dame Undergraduate Admissions; FTT does not run a separate prospective-student application or portfolio review

First-year applicants may use Common App, Coalition on Scoir, or QuestBridge as applicable

First-year applications open August 1, 2026; deadlines are November 1, 2026 for Restrictive Early Action and January 4, 2027 for Regular Decision

Transfer applicants use Notre Dame's transfer application and apply to a specific college and major

Enrollment

Any admitted Notre Dame undergraduate may enroll in the FTT major and choose the Theatre concentration

No separate FTT department approval is required

Audition Process

FTT does not interview, audition, or review portfolios for prospective undergraduate students and does not participate in university admission decisions

Post-Enrollment

Once admitted, students of any major may audition for FTT productions or pursue backstage opportunities
