Audition Requirements
Songs
TWO SONGS, no longer than 90 sec each
•At least one should be contemporary musical theatre
•Other selection may also be MT or pop/rock/etc.
•Live accompaniment provided for on-campus and many regional auditions
•Have pre-recorded accompaniment on hand as backup for regional auditions
•Audition panel may ask for additional prepared material from your book
Monologues
NO MONOLOGUE REQUIRED for in-person auditions
Additional Materials

OPTIONAL PRERECORDED MATERIALS (recommended)
•1 or 2 song cuts (30-60 sec, not to exceed 90 sec each)
-May be same songs as audition or different
-Contemporary styles (MT or pop/rock/etc.) preferred
•1 monologue optional (contemporary, 1980s or later, no longer than 90 sec)
•1 dance video optional (30-60 sec, must be easily identifiable)
•May submit prescreens/self-tapes or recorded solo performances

IMPORTANT DEADLINES
•Application deadline: March 1
•Must register for audition by March 15 or face automatic rejection
ELIGIBILITY
•High school diploma or equivalent required by enrollment
•Minimum 2.0 GPA required
•Fall enrollment only
•Unable to accept international students requiring a student visa
•Denied applicants may reapply the following year (max 3 attempts across all majors)
What's The Process
AUDITION FORMAT
•Must register for and attend one scheduled in-person audition
•Auditions available on first-come, first-served basis
SCHEDULING
•After submitting application, you receive email with audition registration instructions
•Students who submit application but don't schedule audition by March 15 are automatically rejected
CALLBACKS & DECISIONS
•Callbacks may be requested and scheduled directly with student
•Three possible outcomes: Admission (recommended to Presidential Committee), Waitlist (limited openings), or Denial
•Notification by April 1 via email
Scholarship Info
MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
•All students automatically considered for limited number of merit-based scholarships
•Admits without consideration of financial background or ability to pay
NEEDS-BASED AID
•Additional needs-based scholarships and financial assistance available with required documentation
•Cannot accept federal grants/loans
