Songs

Two Contrasting Vocal Selections

•Prepare two songs, no longer than 60 seconds each

•At least one selection should be contemporary musical theatre

•The other may be musical theatre, pop, rock, or another contrasting style

Accompaniment

•Live accompaniment is provided for on-campus and many regional auditions

•Bring prerecorded accompaniment as a backup for regional auditions

Additional Material

•The audition panel may ask for another prepared selection from your book

Monologues

One Contemporary Monologue

•Prepare one contemporary monologue

Dance

Dance Assessment

•Complete a live or recorded dance assessment

Application Logistics

•Applications open August 1 for enrollment the following fall

•Regular application deadline: March 1; late applications may be considered case by case

•Must register for an audition by March 15 after submitting the application

Eligibility

•High school diploma or equivalent required by enrollment

•Minimum 2.0 GPA required

•Fall enrollment only

•Unable to accept international students requiring a student visa

•Denied applicants may reapply the following year; after three unsuccessful attempts across all majors, applicants are no longer eligible

What's The Process

Audition Process

•After submitting the application, students receive audition registration instructions by email

•Students who submit an application but do not schedule an audition by March 15 are automatically rejected

Audition Expectations

•Must register for and attend one scheduled audition

•Auditions are available on a first-come, first-served basis

Decisions

•Callbacks may be requested and scheduled directly with the student

•Three possible outcomes: Admission, Waitlist, or Denial

•Regular admission decisions are released by April 1
