Audition Requirements

Dance

Dance Call

•All applicants must attend a dance call as part of the audition process

•Commercial Dance applicants do not need to prepare any materials ahead of the audition

•Dance combinations will be taught at the audition

Additional Materials

Required Application Materials

•Headshot and resume

•Required personal statement

Optional Dance Videos

•2 or 3 dance videos in the style of your choosing (60-90 seconds each, not to exceed 2 minutes)

•At least 1 should be Hip Hop or a similar style

•No specific combinations are required

•Must be easily identifiable in all videos

•May submit prescreens, self-tapes, or rehearsal/performance videos

Application Logistics

•Applications for the Class of 2030 open in August 2026

•Regular application deadline: March 1; late applications considered case by case

•Must register for an audition by March 15 after submitting the application

Eligibility

•High school diploma or equivalent required by enrollment

•Minimum 2.0 GPA required

•Fall enrollment only

•Unable to accept international students requiring a student visa

•Denied applicants may reapply the following year; after three unsuccessful attempts across all majors, applicants are no longer eligible

Transfer Pathway

This is a transfer pathway degree built to transfer into a four-year program. Confirm which universities it articulates to, and which credits carry over, before you enroll.

What's The Process

Audition Process

•After submitting the application, students receive audition registration instructions by email

•Students who submit an application but do not schedule an audition by March 15 are automatically rejected

Audition Expectations

•Live in-person auditions are required

•All applicants attend a dance call with no prepared audition materials required

•Dance combinations are taught at the audition

Decisions

•Callbacks may be requested and scheduled directly with the student

•Three possible outcomes: Admission, Waitlist, or Denial

•Admission status is sent by email no later than March 31; all admission offers for March 1 applications are notified by April 1

•All students automatically considered for limited number of merit-based scholarships

•Admits without consideration of financial background or ability to pay

Needs-Based Aid

•Additional needs-based scholarships and financial assistance available with required documentation
