Training
•Two-year Master of Music study in Classical Guitar pairs individual studio instruction with Bienen's core graduate curriculum in music history, theory, and pedagogy
•Concurrent registration in a major Bienen ensemble is expected alongside applied lessons
Performance & Productions
•With no prescreening round, Classical Guitar applicants audition directly on campus with a Baroque-era work, a 19th- or early 20th-century solo, and a major 20th- or 21st-century piece by composers such as Britten or Ginastera
Facilities
•Study in the lakefront Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Center for the Musical Arts, Regenstein Hall, and Pick-Staiger Concert Hall
•Ensemble opportunities include orchestras, bands, choirs, jazz groups, opera, chamber music, and contemporary music
