Program Requirements

Complete the Secondary Education Major - Grades 5-12 with Theatre and Speech as the primary discipline

Complete the theatre and speech primary-discipline coursework for Iowa secondary teaching preparation

What's The Process

No Audition Required

Admission is through the university application only

No performance audition or prescreen is required for program admission

Scholarship Audition

Theatre Production Scholarship audition available (see Scholarships section)

Performance option: prepare a 30-90 second monologue

Technical/design option: bring renderings, photographs, or a prompt book

Recommended to audition by March 15 for best scholarship availability

In-person strongly recommended; Zoom and video options available
