Complete the Music Audition Interest form for scholarship consideration

Fall admission is rolling; November 15 is the non-binding Early Action date

Eligibility

Music scholarships are open to music majors and non-majors

Scholarship awards can only be made after the applicant applies and is admitted to NNU

Transfer Pathway

BA Worship Arts students entering with a completed regionally accredited AA or AS receive junior standing, up to 62 transfer credits, and most NNU Core requirements waived. Music, theology, internship, ministerial-standing, and upper-division sequencing still govern time to degree.

What's The Process

Audition Process

Request an in-person, virtual, or recorded scholarship audition through the Music Audition Interest form

In-person auditions are available on scheduled Music Department Audition Days or by appointment

Recorded auditions are followed by a brief virtual interview

Audition Expectations

Prepare the repertoire published for the selected performance area: keyboard, voice, instrumental, rhythm section, or percussion

A panel of music faculty hears the audition and holds a brief conversation with the applicant

Decisions

NNU aims to issue scholarship decisions within 10 business days

Scholarship contracts are normally due within 14 days

NNU offers renewable music scholarships to music majors and non-majors

Scholarship recipients typically participate in a primary ensemble and take a weekly 30-minute lesson

Awards are based on talent, preparation, musical background, intended major, repertoire selection, and leadership potential

Scholarship funds first cover music participation fees; any remainder applies to tuition
