Training
•The Comprehensive track combines speech, theatre and education coursework without requiring a separate minor and leads to grades 9-12 certification
•The current plan includes theatre foundations, acting, oral interpretation, design, directing, theatre history, communication, debate and supervised teaching
Performance & Productions
•Students gain first-year production opportunities, direct their own work and prepare to lead plays, forensics and debate programs
•A faculty mentoring program pairs new students with upperclassmen
Facilities
•Training is based in the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts, including the Charles Johnson Theater, Mary Linn Auditorium and Studio Theatre
