•North Greenville’s Music Education degree is described in official NGU materials as a Bachelor of Arts leading toward music-teaching preparation, with the Teacher Education Program recognized by CAEP and NASM.
Training
•The Choral concentration prepares students around vocal and choral music teaching, while the Music Education curriculum develops musical knowledge, classroom practice, assessment, and student-teaching readiness.
•The program’s K–12 preparation is supported by music theory, history, applied study, keyboard proficiency work, conducting, and choral ensemble experience.
Performance & Productions
•Students remain active musicians through NGU’s recital and ensemble culture, including more than 40 annual music performances in the Cline School of Music.
Professional Development
•Admission to the Teacher Education Program is required before upper-level methods courses and student teaching, connecting the Choral concentration to supervised classroom preparation.
