Training
•The 20-credit minor begins with eight credits of technique selected from ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip-hop
•Students choose six credits from dance history or experience, improvisation, and practicum, then complete six additional dance electives
•Approved supporting electives include music theory for theatre and dance, acting, lighting design, entertainment careers, arts management, and field studies
Performance & Productions
•Dance Practicum can be repeated for as many as four credits
•The minor sits in the same department as CO/LAB Dance Company and the North Coast Dance Festival
Degree Flexibility
•Repeated technique courses may count as electives when the catalog permits a second enrollment
•The plan lets students combine technique, creative practice, history, and production-oriented coursework
