•The 60-credit Associate of Arts combines 20 credits of required dance coursework with 12 credits of technique study
•Required work includes conditioning, dancer wellness, improvisation, creative composition, pedagogy, music theory for theatre and dance, and career preparation
•Technique choices span ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip-hop, musical theatre dance, and pointe
Performance & Productions
•Dance Practicum connects studio training with production and performance experience
•Creative Composition and Dance Improvisation develop choreographic tools
•Students train in the same department that houses CO/LAB Dance Company and the North Coast Dance Festival
Degree Flexibility
•The two-year curriculum is designed for broad dance study rather than a single specialization
•Four elective credits allow students to extend the 60-credit plan
