Repertoire List
•Bullet: Prepare repertoire on your principal instrument appropriate to your area:
◦Sub-bullet: Strings: one three-octave scale in any key, one etude, and one movement of a Bach solo work or a standard concerto movement (bass: one one-octave scale)
◦Sub-bullet: Trumpet: two contrasting etudes (one lyrical, one technical) or one substantial solo with both, plus a chromatic scale across your range
◦Sub-bullet: Percussion: a prepared solo in one area (snare, mallet keyboard, timpani, or multiple percussion) plus rudiments/scales and sight-reading
◦Sub-bullet: For percussion scholarship consideration, demonstrate proficiency in two areas; one must be mallet keyboard
◦Sub-bullet: Woodwinds and other winds/brass: prepared solo or etudes and scales per the area requirement sheet
Scales & Technique
•Bullet: Be prepared to perform scales as specified for your instrument
•Bullet: Be prepared to sight-read a provided excerpt
Accompaniment
•Bullet: A staff accompanist can be provided at no charge if music is submitted in advance
