•Contrasting in time period (Golden Age vs Contemporary) or feel (up-tempo vs ballad)
•Performed from memory with appropriate accompaniment

ELIGIBILITY
•Must first be accepted to NJCU before applying to the Music, Dance, and Theatre Department
•Non-majors and music minors may also audition for school productions
IMPORTANT
•NJCU is merging with Kean University effective July 1, 2026 — the Jersey City campus will operate as Kean Jersey City

PRESCREEN
•Video pre-screen audition required for all applicants
•Record one combined video containing all audition materials
•Record in landscape format on smartphone or tablet
•Upload to YouTube as an unlisted video
•Share YouTube link with mdalio@njcu.edu
LIVE AUDITION
•Invited candidates audition with faculty for acceptance
•Students must be accepted to NJCU and separately apply to the Music, Dance, and Theatre Department
