Training
•The 36-credit Theatre Studies major combines introductory theatre, acting, stagecraft, theatre design, theatre history, directing, practicum work, and twelve credits of THR or DAN electives
•Students can shape the flexible curriculum around acting, musical theatre, dance, theatre history, or design and production while retaining room for a second major and broader liberal arts study
Performance & Productions
•Three one-credit practicum electives place students in build, run, design, or crew assignments for departmental productions
•The department hosts seven student productions each season, including two musicals
Professional Development
•Students train with theatre faculty, staff, and working professionals and can connect with alumni working across Broadway, television, film, and radio
Study Abroad
•Department opportunities include study in London, Florence, and Rome, plus a full-tuition-and-board Powerhouse Theatre opportunity at Vassar College
