Audition Process
•Bullet: No pre-enrollment theatre audition or prescreen is listed for university admission
•Bullet: The Acting option uses a post-enrollment qualifying audition and interview for BFA candidacy
Audition Expectations
•Bullet: Qualifying audition must be at least 10 minutes long
•Bullet: Prepare two or more contrasting pieces selected from comedy, drama, tragedy, song, and dance
•Bullet: Academic advisor and performance faculty must approve selections before the qualifying semester
•Bullet: Passing average is 80%; an unsatisfactory qualifying performance must be repeated the following semester
Post-Enrollment
•Bullet: Qualifying audition occurs in the second or third semester of residency at a time assigned by the Theatre Arts Program Director
•Bullet: Acting students complete annual jury evaluations based on production activity and academic progress
•Bullet: Acting students audition for all main stage productions and the Richard B. Harrison Players
